Improve your journalism skills with the Youth4Regions programme for journalists (18-30 years old)

The European Commission is accepting applications for the 9th edition of Youth4Regions, its programme for aspiring journalists. In October 2025, selected participants will spend a week in Brussels, where they will receive practical training, expert mentoring and gain experience in the newsroom. They will also take part in exclusive visits to EU institutions and media organisations. This year, students and young journalists from EU Member States, neighbouring countries and candidate countries can apply in three categories: general journalism, photojournalism and video journalism.

EMBO, Europe’s life science academy offer

EMBO, Europe’s life science academy, has the following offer to associations and unions representing journalists and science journalists, and to universities and academies offering science journalism courses or training.

The Maria Leptin | EMBO Science Journalism Fellowships are now open for applications:

  • For life scientists wishing to transition to a career as a science journalist, the programme supports internships at media organizations of between three and a maximum of 12 months.
  • For science journalists wishing to further their knowledge and reporting of the life sciences, the programme supports placements in a life sciences research institute for up to three months.
